i've been debating whether or not to post this story simply because the org knows who i am (post history from pre-'05 will tell you all you need to know), and i'm not sure if they would give my parents shit if they knew what transpired earlier this summer.
but you know what, i don't care what they do, because my mom is dying of stage iv cancer and i feel this needs to be heard by anyone struggling with the loss of contact from their relatives.. for those who are not familiar with my background, i became a small thorn in the side of the wts while i was still in.
i'm not big on being deceived, and for me, the org crossed my personal 'red line' when it came to blood and the child abuse issue.
Keep us up to date. Thanks for posting your struggles!
this was the reply i was given by our coordinator at our recent kingdom hall security meeting.. he explained that they aren't allowed to buy any appliances or do any changes to the kingdom hall without branch approval.
"we put in our letter that a video security system could be purchased for around $600 locally and an app could be downloaded for the attendants to monitor the cameras what's going onoutside.
" they said;" such a system would not be needed in our area of the country, if standard protocols of security are followed as outline by the branch.
When I was with the RBC, everything had to be purchased at Home Depot, you know why?
The Watchtower Society got 10% cash back on all purchases.

When I mentioned that other Congregations have video cameras, I was told that they were in place before LDC arrangement or the local Elders never contacted (in error) the Branch.
Each Kingdom Hall at least 2 Elders that represent the LDC interests and that implement any direction given by the LDC.

What is crazy is that 3 Congregations would split the expenses, using the monies that we already have on hand, not relying on the Branch to provide these funds.

He went on to say that the Branch reminded them that at anytime that they have an access of funds on hand, that these funds should be forwarded to the Branch.
well, i've been lurking for a bit.
first out of cautious curiosity, then, though feeling a bit more comfortable to post, got caught in the confirmation email anomaly, and left unable to post or participate.
so i remained lurking, reading and researching.
